For this 2022 edition therefore, the organisers wanted to deliver a maximum number of key points for understanding and drivers for action through the following programme of plenary sessions:

Tuesday 31 May – “Global to local: everyone is involved, everyone is responsible”

With the co-organisers and in the presence of the Director-General of the UN and economists, this first day will highlight national and international contexts in which the different recovery plans must take ecological requirements into account. At a more local level, administrative regions, cities and rural communities from various European countries will illustrate how the logic of “Less for More” can be applied in each area on a daily basis.

Wednesday 1 June – “Changing behaviour: assessment criteria and leverage”

The second day will begin with an analysis of the individual and collective changes in behaviour that are required to reduce our thirst for energy: it will bring together experts in neuroscience such as Sébastien Bohler, author of “Le Bug Humain”, as well as influencers and advertising companies, who all have the common desire to gain a greater understanding of our mind in order to manipulate it… for better or for worse. The afternoon will continue by addressing more technical aspects, as well as energy production and distribution, discussing matters of safeguarding natural spaces and land ownership, as well as the production and distribution of energy at a time when our energy requirements must be brought under control.

Thursday 2 June – “Time to commit”

The third day will open with homage paid to communities that are deeply committed. After this will be a much-awaited debate, co-organized with Sustainable Finance Geneva, on the subject of the actors in sustainable finance, followed by confrontation analysis of the different scenarios regarding the energy transition in the future, put forward by French players in this field. The afternoon programme will conclude with two key topics in which sobriety must gain a foothold: digital technology and energy retrofit.

116 workshops to discuss, share and co-construct

Every year, the Conference offers a programme of workshops organized in partnership with players committed to the local energy transition, making this event a real focus on shared experiences, ideas and concrete solutions.
